The Madison County Historical Society presents "The Madison County Military" Exhibit which will be on display for the rest of November and ends December 14, 2012.  The display is at the History Center, 7 West 11th Street, Anderson, Indiana.  The Exhibit Hall is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Our collection is large and robust featuring uniforms, id cards, flags, bullets, shells and many, many other artifacts and memorabilia.  Also included are stories and newspaper articles about the wars and those men and women from Madison County who participated and their contributions.

Our special "Thank You" to Suzy Chambers for putting this collection together, its organization into an exhibit, and the research needed in some areas.

The exhibit is  free to everyone in the community.  It is for you and your family;  that's why we do it!  For more information and/or questions, please call us at (765) 683-0052 during public hours.  Thank you!

Reminder:  It was 81 years ago on December 7, 1941 that Pearl Harbor was bombed.  It was a defining moment in our history.  Reading  about the navy and their history is very interesting.  Pearl Harbor is a well known tourist destination.
