The David Rees Historical Camera Collection

The Madison County Historical Society presents "The David Rees Historical Camera Collection" Exhibit which will be on display from Monday, August 18, 2014 through Friday, October 31, 2014.  The display is at the History Center, 7 West 11th Street, Anderson, Indiana.  The Exhibit Hall is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The display and collection is very large and robust with the focus being on the very early cameras.  Also on display is a collection of of pictures, memorabilia, articles,  collectibles, books, and magazines.

A big "THANK YOU"  to Bill Knepp for bringing the collection to the History Center.  This collection was put together by David Rees who was a graduate of Madison Heights.  He served in the Viet Nam war as an Air Force photographer.  When he returned from the service, Mr. Rees worked at and finally retired from Delco Remy.

This is a fabulous and awesome collection of very important cameras.  You need to see it.  See that you bring the family and friends.  See you there!

The exhibit is  free to everyone in the community.  It is for you and your family;  that's why we do it!  Group times are available by request.  For more information and/or questions, please call us at (765) 683-0052 during public hours.  Thank you!
