LOCAL BLACK HISTORY MONTH
The Madison County Historical Society presents "Local Black History" Exhibit which will be on display at the History Center, 7 West 11th Street, Anderson, Indiana. The Exhibit Hall is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This exhibit will be available for visiting and viewing until the end of day on Friday, February 27.
Our collection is large and robust featuring newspaper and magazine articles, and many other artifacts and memorabilia. This exhibit is especially interesting in that the focus is on the local people of our community from all walks of life and achievements.
Our special "Thank You" to Bonnie Collier for putting this collection together, its organization into an exhibit, and the research needed in some areas.
The exhibit is free to everyone in the community. It is for you and your family; that's why we do it! For more information and/or questions, please call us at (765) 683-0052 during public hours. Thank you!
